Hotel The Three Sisters, Tallinn
Situated at the crossing of the Pikk and Tolli streets, in the northern part of the old city of Tallinn, the three tightly-knit buildings known as the Three Sisters are of great historical and architectural value. Their origins date back to the Middle Ages and the earliest written documentation to the 14th century, when in 1372 as owners of the buildings on the site were mentioned Richard and Johannes Ryke (from the Dutch Ryk = rich). Thereafter, the buildings drifted into the possession of different owners until in 1649 the entire complex had again a single owner.
PS.:
Reval steht für den historischen deutschen Namen der estnischen Hauptstadt Tallinn.
