  Occupation	first as preacher in der Pfalz http://www.stahlschmidt.ch/familyjottings.htm Tillmann studied at the Gymnasium of Herborn. He was engaged first as preacher in der Pfalz (Sprenglingen) and then became Inspector of the Grafschaft Wittgenstein and first preacher since 1701 in Laasphe where he was translated by the Landgraf Carl on 5 April 1715 to St. Goar on the Rhine as Inspector and Prediger on which he entered on 10 May preaching his first sermon there on 19 May, the living having been vacant for nearly half a year. (These facts are entered in his own handwriting in the books of the church at St. Goar). Here he remained until 1734 in which year he was deprived of his office and chaired but for what reason it is not stated, probably on account of divergence of views on some of the many religious dogmas which were then agitating men?s minds. No trace of him has yet been discovered after this date and it is therefore impossible to say when or where he died. He had the following issue
